Yesterday I had two reasons to celebrate. One was to celebrate "Valentine's Day" (fyi, i don't have a boyfriend, hopefully not until I'm 18...or may be after university... So celebrated it with my parents and siblings...).
I never knew that people actually celebrate Valentine's Day so seriously until yesterday. Actually, my parents forgot that it was valentine's day but I remembered and knew that most restaurants were having special menus. When mum suggested Swensen's, I was delighted bcos I thought of Valentine's ice cream (if they had one). By the time we got there it was about 8.30pm. The restaurant was so packed with couples!!! We decided to leave after half an hour and headed to Centre Point. In the end, our Valentine's Dinner was at Pizza Uno. By the time dinner came, it was 10.15pm!! But it was ok bcos the food was good and I had my family to celebrate Valentine's Day with:-)...
The other celebration was the victory of my Rumah Biru for getting first place in the Merentas Desa that afternoon. My friends and I have been practising (5 kilometres) Merentas Desa during house practice. It was most exhausting walk ever!! Although mum had warned me that I may get my asthma if I were careful, I was confident that I would be ok. Unfortunately, during the second practice and half way through the cross-country, suddenly I became breathless. Thank God there was a teacher who followed us in her car. Another friend also had a similar attack. We both had to take a ride back to school. It was so dissapointing bcos we both really wanted to participate in the Merentas Desa.
Yesterday, mum warned me not to participate. I didnt want to disobey her in case I might just collapse half way. So I made myself comfortable among the seniors (that I didnt know) and gave my best cheer ever and support to Rumah Biru. We cheered, yelled and sang. It was so much fun.
By the time I got home, I was really tired and slept without having lunch but dont mind doing it all over again bcos it paid off!!...Yay!! Rumah Biru!!
Lots of luv,
Sara
